A meeting was held at 11 Trafford Crescent, Markham, Ontario, L3R 7H6 to review the present status of the Trust Fund with the new generation of Qureshis and discuss various possibilities and options of improving the existing processes and their effectiveness.
The following were in attendance:
Mansoor Khalid
Amina Tahir
Momin Yahya
Haider Khalid
Azra Khalid
Khalid Rauf.
A detailed introduction to the objectives, scope and future projections of the Trust Fund was presented by Khalid Rauf so that a new set of young Qureshis can take over the administration and control of the fund, when they are ready.
The following items were discussed and decisions made:
The Trust Fund Charter was read and details discussed. Several areas and clauses were identified as debatable.
Action:
Mansoor, Amina, Momin and Haider to review the charter in detail and propose amendments. These amendments will be reviewed by the Board of Directors and put to vote if the changes in the charter are found to be necessary.
The budget of the Trust Fund, member contributions and the collection process was reviewed. It was found that most of the members were in default of payments, since 1990. The amount pending for the period between 1980 and 1990 was ignored.
Action:
Mansoor, Amina, Momin and Haider to review the accounts and make proposals for the future:
1. Improving incoming revenue
2. Receiving previous pending amount
3. Haider to communicate with Trust Fund members and discuss pending payments
4. Mansoor to open a new account for holding the Trust Fund money.
The next meeting will take place at the same venue on March 27, 2010 at 1200 hours.
